Remaining in relative obscurity, at this time the work did not draw attention to the Colonial Troops' and Senegalese Tirailleurs' exploits during the Phoney War and the French Campaigns, covering from September 1939 to June 1940; this book finally provides the information to fill in this important history.Using maps and other inserts, the author covers these campaigns for each part of the colonial arm, including historical context and course operations.
